Several Hurdle Dynamix athletes travelled to Sheffield to compete at the England Athletics Age Group National Championships on 11th & 12th February.
Lots of seasonal and personal bests were made but a special mention goes to our TWO national champions! Sunday evening proved to be the outstanding moment when Onyeka Okoh (400m) and Cheyne West (60mH) pulled of superb wins.
Onyeka pulled off 3 incredible rounds of the 400m, with a personal best in the Semi-final of 48.07s to go Number 1 in the UK rankings. A brilliant timed last lap, in the final, brought him the title in 48.15s.
Cheyne, who had competed in the 60m the previous day. Ran a great personal best of 8.31s in his heat to progress to the final. With a scorching reaction, he flew out of the blocks and was never headed and took the gold medal and title in, yet, another personal best of 8.23s.
A brilliant end to a fabulous day!
